Hey all. We have just found out we are pregnant and due at the end of august. We would love to try and get all the legal stuff worked out now or at least so we know what is coming.
so we finally tried for the first time last week and let me tell you, these past 6 days ave been incredibly stressful. of course everywhere we read it says to minimize stress, but honestly how in the world is that possible when i'm walking around maybe pregnant, maybe not. i am adhering to all the rules of being pregnant as far as no coffee, beer, plenty of sleep, etc. etc., but this is pure torture. every night we count down how long until we can take a test to confirm either way. any tips on how to survive the next week without this being the only thing that occupies our minds?
Hey out there. My wife and I are in the process of trying to get pregnant. We are wondering if there are any local parents in the Boston, MA area who have used the California Cryobank in Cambridge. Looking to get some info from other consumers before we get info from the bank itself.
How welcoming was the space for both partners?
Was there many preliminary steps to actually buying the sperm?
Is there storage around here, or must it be shipped?
Any info/opinions greatly welcome. Thanks, and wish us luck ;)
well, now, months after my last entry we are really in the process of starting our new family. 7 weeks till the wedding and 1 week into charting anything and everything. i try not to think about it all too much, in fear of beginning to chart how many breaths i take each minute. when did it become so laborious to begin the family we have always dreamed about. i know it takes work but today i'm having one of those, "its not fair we cant just make a baby" days. in all my preconception books the idea of really it taking months seems to be a main theme. i hope there are better odds out there.
My partner and I have been together for 4 years and are getting married this spring. The next natural step for us is to plan a family. Since we are new to this stage, we are looking for some helpful tips from any other lesbian moms or moms-to-be.
Just a few questions to start our ball rolling:
What are the opinions of using an unknown sperm donor or of using a known donor?
Is there any sperm banks known to be better than others?
Is Cryogenic really the best? and if so do we need to plan a trip to CA?
