A reaction video posted by user charper 140 on 11 December 2010 of a gay couple hearing the news that they are to be grandparents has gone viral after a year on popular self-broadcasting site, YouTube.
Titled "We told Dads they're going to be Grandpas", the video depicts a family gathering of the two men and a young woman in a kitchen in America, a third man is filming.
The cameraman asks the couple: "So, tell me what it's going to be like, now that you two are going to be grandpas".
In recent years, the UK has seen a dramatic increase in sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The Health Protection Agency (HPA) states that gonorrhoea infections have increased by almost 25% between 2010 - 2011, with syphilis and herpes increasing by 10% and 4.6% respectively. However, many cases of STIs remain undiagnosed and untreated, and can have a devastating effect on general health and fertility.
Among the supporters of same-sex marriage outside the Palace of Westminster last week, PinkNews reported spotting a lesbian couple with their son who are desperate to marry.
Stella and her partner Lucy attended the vigil with their son Bailey. Stella told PinkNews.co.uk: “We have booked to get married next August. We just want our son Bailey to have same equivilent as all his friends, married parents. He knows the difference between marriage and civil partnership, that they are simply not equal. He just wants married mummies!”

James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, a weapons training company, said of the president’s current attempts to impose greater gun control: “I’m not letting anyone take my guns. If it goes one inch further I’m going to start killing people.” Later, he kinda-sorta retracted this statement and kinda-sorta-didn't. Yeager said, “I do not condone anybody committing any kind of felonies up to including aggravated assault or murders. Unless it’s necessary. Right now it is not necessary.”
Several months ago I consulted with a woman and her same-sex partner. I'll refer to them as "Sue" and "Sally." They had a 3-year-old son who was conceived using sperm donated directly to the couple by a close friend named "Stan." Donation and conception took place under friendly circumstances at the women's home. Stan did his part in the privacy of their bathroom, and they promptly used his sperm to create a baby. Voilà, the conception of "Baby X" was confirmed in a matter of weeks.
An egg donation program is a highly sensitive and personalised process and it is imperative to understand that what is right for one individual is very different to what may be necessary for another.
When we began our potty-training journey a few weeks back, my son and I started with the adult-sized toilet. For those of you who are about to begin this journey...don't start with this toilet. We had some success, however, despite his screams as I placed his bottom on the cold, white seat. My mom suggested that I purchase a kiddy toilet, intimating that he might be afraid of the larger one. I stepped back, looked at the giant and realized that our super flusher toilet is rather ominous. It's tall, contains water that briefly disappears and sometimes smells. Hmmm. Okay.
TV show ‘This Morning’ recently discussed women turning to sex with sperm donors in order to have a baby. Sally Windsor joined Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the sofa on Thursday and said more and more women are turning to websites where men offer natural insemination, as they believe they have a better chance of conceiving.
Sally explained that she herself once considered using the websites as she wanted to have a baby. She said: "As woman we can do this if we want to, there's no more of this idea of sitting back and waiting to become parents - that's a little bit archaic.
