I have been unsure where to begin for the last hour, so I am just going to dive in with what is on my mind right now…I am so thrilled to have gotten so much positive feedback about our albums this year. I am humbled by such generous compliments from customers who are describing the albums using words such as ‘intuitive’, ‘fun’ and ‘beautiful’.
I have been asked many times if I will be creating albums with specific topics for adoptive parents, single parents and same sex parents. After reviewing some existing albums I realize that there really is a need.
With three of the largest egg donor recruitment agencies in the U.S. having joined as members, the Donor Network Alliance (DNA) has reached the 5,000 mark in the number of registered donors in this national donor database.
DNA (www.donornetworkalliance.com) is an unprecedented affiliation of leading U.S. egg donor agencies who have consolidated their egg donor profiles in a single Web site, making the egg donor search easier for intended parents, and giving agencies greater exposure to a larger number of prospective clients.
Lets face it; many states still come up short when it comes to surrogacy laws. For example, it’s still illegal to be a surrogate in such states as New York, Michigan and Utah. Other states have no laws, like Pennsylvania.
One state has taken a step forward on this front: Illinois.
If you’re seriously thinking about egg donation to start a family or thinking of becoming an egg donor, you need to listen the latest show on Creating A Family. It’s about how to choose an egg donor. DNA’s Nancy Block was part of a great roundtable discussion about the process, ethics, costs, genetic testing, meeting donors and much more. Check it out: http://www.creatingafamily.org/radioshow.html.
Donor Network Alliance co-founder Nancy Block was recently interviewed on the nationally broadcast Radio Health Journal to discuss the process of egg donation and what intended parents and donors can expect when working with an agency. She also discusses the benefits of the using the Donor Network Alliance and how donors are screened. Check it out: http://www.mediatracks.com/RHJ_10-07.mp3

I had a hard time understanding the lyrics but from what I could understand, I thought it was great.
"I could never be a father nor could I ever turn you away"
I do disagree on this, a 'sperm donor' is a father, but is not a dad...
Thank you Vinny Peculiar and Leah Wilkes.

UPDATE: I asked "Vinny Peculiar" to post his lyics and he did! http://vinnypeculiar.blogspot.com/2009/10/confessions-of-sperm-donor-lyr...
I used to be a feminist I used to be a freak
On Friday, Steve and I had a scheduled phone call with our egg donor candidate. I am so thrilled to report that we absolutely, without a doubt, 100% LOVE HER! She was warm, bright and just said all the right things triple confirming what we hoped to be true. The best part is that she likes us too and per the agency has agreed to the journey with us.
THANK GOD we don't have to go back to the drawing board. It’s slim pickin's out there people. Just check out these sample egg donors below. Kudos to anyone who gets the "Lost" reference.
A few years ago, in a faraway place called Louisiana, a young Princess lived in a shining trailer. Although she had everything her heart desired, the princess was spoiled, selfish, and unkind.
One winter's night, an grumpy drunk lesbian from the bar came to the trailer and offered her a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the Princess sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away.
Continued from The Beautiful Beast
In Chickasaw County there lived a woman named Belle. She was very beautiful and a little odd. She cared only for her books and always felt out of place.
Her father, Bobby Ray, was also a great reader. But while Belle read about adventure and carpentry, her father studied technical books. Bobby Ray was an inventor - a genious, according to Belle; a meth-head, according to folks in town.
