Meredith Corporation fires it's only lesbian writer from Parents.com. Company claims her blog wasn't popular enough.

Parents.com is saying Harlyn Aizley, author of “Buying Dad” and editor of “Confessions of the Other Mother”, did not attract enough visits on her Parents.com blog - called "Are You My Mothers?" - to continue being an employee at Meredith Corporation. She's been fired.

The odd corporate decision is confirmed with Aizley's latest post on Parents.com - and explained in much more depth at Suburban Lesbian Housewife.

You can read Aizley's final Parents.com piece - while it's still in publication - in which she says "Are You My Mothers?" enjoyed a readership of 25 to 50% of the total blog readers on Parents.com.

Aizley will begin posting on the Family Equality Council's blog very soon.

Meredith Corporation also produces Ladies Home Journal, Family Circle, Parents, and Baby.
