In 2004 my partner and I purchased a membership in the Disney Vacation Club. During the sales presentation we asked a lot of questions about how comfortable we might be as members. We obviously were not the first gay couple to join. Our "Guide" knew exactly how to address our specific questions and concerns.
That aside, we have been going to Disney 2-3 times a year alone and with family and friends.
This June we will be taking our adoptive baby and grandson with us. This will be the babys' first of many trips!
It just happens that we will be there the same week that Orlando Gay Days is going on. Not so much becasue we planned it that way but because our membership points renew in June and we cant wait to go!
We will opt out of the "gay" events and stick with the family fun agenda and spend the week enjoying the two kids we love so much.
I will let you know how it goes!

See You There!
Hi, my partner and I joined DVC in 1999 and couldn't have been more comfortable with the whole experience. We will be returning in June for Gay Days, mostly because it is our anniversary (we honeymooned there of course) and my Partner's birthday. When we went at this time of year in 2004, we pretty much avoided all the "gay activities" except the Magic Kingdom on saturday (we are kidless by the way). Even then we arrived early and left very early as it was extremely crowded! But being there amongst a sea of red shirts is an event I will never forget. I highly recommend taking this in if possible!
WOW! Great to hear!
We should meet up...if you want. We will be with two kids but coffee and adult conversation would be a nice break for us.
We are staying at Saratoga Springs.
We have not decided if we will go to Magic Kingdom on Saturday. We are going on Thursday and we have dinner reservations for Cinderella's Castle that night. If you say its worth it though we might.
I'm glad to find other gay dvc members. We have always enjoyed our trips and have stayed at every resort except Beach Club. Our last trip was at Animal Kingdom Lodge....sooooo funnn!

Sounds Good!
I believe we are arriving Thursday and leaving Monday. BTW, I'm the one in the red shirt in the picture, my husband, Bruce is to my left, and to my right are Steve and Page, our good friends who are also DVC members.
Looking Forward!
I tried to send you a message but I kept getting logged out. If I can figure it out I will send you a cell phone so that we can make plans.
Strange...
Same thing is happening to me, in fact this is the 2nd time I've tried responding to the post after the first one failed! Anyway, I am also parkfreak on the DIS and Intercot boards in case you are also. Let me know if you try me there as I rarely sign on to those sites.

Hey Guys
We've been looking for an online information source for Gay "Family" Day at Disney Orlando. But we haven't found anything yet beyond http://www.gaydayfamily.com/. Is there a place within DVCfanclub.com that addresses Family Day specifically?

There is a gay page and GLBT forums on dvcfanclub.com but nothing about Gay Family Days at Disney World. Since we will be there I will post any information about the events we attend.
