Fears

I have so many fears flowing through my head right now.

* Can we afford IVF
* What if I can't carry a child
* Will we be able to provide a child with all that they need
* Can we afford all that a child needs
* Should we raise a child in Georgia

All of these things flow through my head at least once a day. My doctor has told me that the sooner I try to get pregnant the better. I have had some reproductive health issues in the past and has caused my doctor a little concern. I have been told to increase my fertility possibilities I should lose weight. I am work at this and am just so consumed with fear and worry.

i'm not sure what your insurance situation is like, however, a lot of insurance companies cover up to the first $25K (aetna). they basically say that you have to try on your own for 3 to 6 months, before they would cover it.

there are ways to get around this, especially if you have an "understanding" doctor. the good thing is that you are planning in advance and can find the type of insurance that you need.

"doctor, we have been trying to get pregnant for the pass year, but i think my partner (who just so happens to be a female) has zero sperm count!!"

even if your current employeer doesn't offer this coverage, you can always find other plans that will and it looks like you have enought time to do so.

Thanks...

For your words, they are very helpful. We have Aetna :)

We all have them. . .

First of all. . .all for us looking to have a little one that will depend on us for the rest of our lives have fears. . .that's normal. . .as Adam Sandler once said in the movie Spanglish. . ."Worrying about your kids is sanity, and being that sane... can drive you nuts.". . .and right now it's okay to be that sane. . .

Secondly, I have found that my insurance will cover my fertility treatments (50%) as long as my doctor codes them with the diagnosis of "Infertility". . .which we discussed and he was glad to do. . he wants to get paid, you know?. . .is IVF your only option?. . .have you tried IUI and ICI? Those methods are MUCH cheaper. . .

Thirdly. . .I wish you two all the success in the world and can't wait to read the "Success Story". . .
