Focus Features appears to have completed a deal to acquire rights to the Sundance Film Festival favorite "The Kids Are All Right" by Lisa Cholodenko, reports the LA Times.
The film - which stars Julianne Moore and Annette Bening playing lesbian moms - was shown at Sundance 2010. Mark Ruffalo also stars - as the biological father.
In the story, the couple live with their teenage children, in Los Angeles. As the daughter prepares for college, her younger brother asks her to help him find their biological father.
She contacts the sperm bank - and the bank calls the bio-dad to ask if he’s willing to meet his daughter. He agrees, and the family spins out of control.
