On May 18, 2012, legendary HIV/AIDS advocate, civil rights activist, author and columnist Terry Angel Mason will be a guest speaker at the San Diego Neighborhood House Association, located at 841 South 41st Street, San Diego, CA 92113 (Barbara Y.
Fielding Academy Center --West Room).

The special event will take place at 1:30 pm, and will include a discussion about HIV/AIDS prevention and book signing by the famed author.

Selected by Real Health Magazine as the advocate of the month and selected as the Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day national spokesperson for 2012, Mason is a Pulitzer nominated author of two inspiring books, Love Won’t Let Me Be Silent and They Say That I Am Broken, regarded as one of the most highly anticipated books of 2012.

They Say That I Am Broken, is a powerful book aimed at spreading truth about the dangers and consequences of homophobia, hate, and inequality. My goal is to change that by educating people and helping them make empowering choices,” states Mason.
