HOW TO REMOVE THE OBSTACLES THAT KEEP YOU FROM FINDING THAT SPECIAL COMPANION YOU HAVE ALWAYS DREAMED OF!

Recently, I began publishing a new news magazine called: Guardian of Truth LGBT News Magazine. Friends, to be honest with you, while I did have a gut feeling that people would like the publication; there was no way I could have ever anticipated just how very popular it would become. Some are even hailing the publication as an overnight success!

In this week’s edition, two black gay couples who recently married were featured in the publication. To my amazement, thousands flocked to the news magazine page to read the articles, view the photos and watch the inspiring wedding videos.

After about the first few hours of pandemonium, thousands of emails began to pour in from single gay men all over the world asking my advice about how to find their soul mate. Since I had addressed this issue previously in my Pulitzer Nominated book, LOVE WON’T LET ME BE SILENT, I decided to post the following excerpt (from the book), since it contains most, if not all of the advice I shared with them.

-The Key to Finding True Love-
(WHAT EVERY MAN WHO IS IN SEARCH OF A HUSBAND NEEDS TO READ!)

Right now, this is a time of preparation for me. All of us have these seasons and times, but we often view them as dry seasons or lonely hours, when in fact they are time jewels. TIME JEWELS are precious moments that the Creator gives each of us to prepare for our good. But most of us spend this time complaining about how we wish we had a companion, and/or we digress into the past and chain ourselves up there with memories of betrayal and deep hurt from previous relationships -- dooming ourselves never to find a new one!

Often, I receive emails from individuals who desperately want a man but are unwilling to do what it takes to get one. They don't want to work on their bodies so that they can exude more self-confidence, vitality, and health; thus raising their self-esteem and creating a discipline that would usher in more fulfilling relationships and prosperity, eventually spilling over into other areas of their lives as a result of this new-found discipline.

They think that being in love is just a fuzzy feeling and that they don't need to research or seek out any new information about how to have a lasting, meaningful loving relationship. I feel that this is really a trap because we don't arrive on the planet at birth with a built-in manual on how to have a successful loving relationship.

Others fail in their relationships even though they may have a great body and cute face because they often lack the relationship skills that could easily be obtained if they would just seek out the answers. Instead, they blame others for their misfortune and go on to the next man, only to repeat the same mistakes because of their ignorance.

Once I had to teach a class in San Diego, California, called, "A Lifetime of Loving." The class was created to help people of all sexual persuasions, genders, and ethnicities to establish and create better, more fulfilling relationships. I realized that while I knew a lot about love, still, I did not know everything, and few of us do! So I went on a quest to find the information that could augment what I already knew; what I learned from that quest was that the world is filled with an endless amount of information about love and how to have successful relationships. We spend countless hours at the gym, determined to get that tight body and never spend any time developing the spiritual and mental qualities that are the real drawing cards -- never accessing any of this helpful information -- much of it right at our fingertips in the form of books, magazines, and helpful Internet articles.

We have a list of all the qualities that we want in a man, but when we examine ourselves, we possess few, if any, of these qualities. And we often justify this lack by making a statement like, "I just want somebody who will love me for me!" But the problem with a statement like this is that it is often a cop-out because we don't really want to change. We don't want to get rid of our bad attitudes. We don't want to rid our lives of self-centeredness. We don’t want to get rid of our undisciplined lives! We don't want to stop abusing our bodies, and so we over-indulge in foods that we know will add endless pounds of unwanted fat on our bodies, making us candidates for disease, depression, and even death.

Often, many of us struggle with addictions that need to be overcome before we can even consider entering into a relationship. This is the reason 12-step programs discourage people from establishing intimate relationships before they come to a place of freedom and wholeness. Addictions that overwhelm and imprison us can never bring anything good into our lives. Instead, what they often do is attract other abusive individuals with the same or worse addiction, who further destroy our lives. No wonder the songwriter wrote: “If you would be completely free -- Let go! Let God! Dominate Thee!”

One of the greatest universal laws that exist is called: "RADIATION and ATTRACTION"

Key: In other words, "WHAT WE RADIATE, WE ATTRACT!" If we want that fine man, that endless love, that soul mate, we must attract him by becoming what we desire. We must radiate what we wish to attract into our lives. What things do you have on your list when it comes to the attributes you want your man to possess, and how many of these spiritual, mental, and physical qualities do you possess and demonstrate in your life every day? If you possess none of them, then you have work to do! If you possess some of them, then you have work to do! That alone time or down time, as some of us call it, is not the time to complain or wish we had the perfect man. It is the time to prepare and become that perfect man!

Now, don’t misunderstand me and think that I am unaware that none of us will reach total perfection; but what I am trying to get you to see is that getting on the road to “SELF-IMPROVEMENT” can only bless you and bring into your life what you truly desire. This law is so powerful and foolproof until even when we get into the process of becoming the kind of person we want to be, we immediately begin to attract people like sugar attracts ants, and all this happens just because we are in the process. Imagine what will occur if we complete the process!

So if you wonder why I am still single, it is because I am in a time of preparation; and instead of complaining about not having found the man of my dreams, I am working on becoming that man! For I know that when I least expect it – and it is bound to happen -- my good shall arrive on my doorstep. And the good thing is that I will be ready for him!

What we radiate outward, we attract into our lives.

My personal declaration:

I believe in confidence and conviction, not ignorance or arrogance. I believe everyone has a birthright to be here. I hold an attitude of gratitude for all that life beholds. I believe that what we radiate outward in our thoughts, feelings, mental pictures and words, we attract into our lives. I believe we can create our reality and exercise dominion in our lives.

Daily affirm: “What I radiate I attract. Therefore, I choose to radiate positive thoughts at all times. I am not on my way out; I am on my way up! Upward toward the good! The good of past and present which belong to me by Divine right is now being divinely restored, and my life is being made beautiful again!"
