Thin Lining?? Really??

I have been successful at charting my BBT, checking my cervical mucous and peeing on numerous OPK sticks. But still, no surge. Which was expected since my cycle runs 33 days and according to EVERY ovulation calculator I've typed my numbers into I'm not to ovulate until June 10th. Which was okay. . .or so I thought.

So, yesterday my REI/OB/GYN nurse contacted me and stated that I needed to come in for an ultrasound because I haven't surged! In sets the "FREAK OUT" moment. This was not expected, the doctor never mentioned that a long cycle was bad. . .hmm. . .I asked my questions of the nurse. . .she said she wants to check my lining and my follicles. . .okay. . .what are you checking for?

I get up this morning. . .after NO sleep from freaking out. .head over to the doctor's office and I'm the first one seen. . .I get up on the table she does the intravaginal ultrasound and low and behold there is my left ovary! Wow! Is that it?? It looks like a black whole!. . .Then she shows me little "pearl like" sacs around the ovary. . .polycystic something or others. . .that can't be good. . .a little more fidgeting. .and there is my right ovary and an even larger black whole. . ."Wow, look at the size of that follicle," she says. . ."that's a good one. . .almost perfect. . .but your lining only has barely three lines (which I couldn't see) and we like there to be three lines that are very obvious. So, I'll have to talk to the doctor. . see if he wants you to inject hCG to get you ovulating."

Okay, I can handle this. . I can still inseminate this cycle. . .but then she tells me that if the doctor thinks my lining is too thin he'll want me to wait for my next cycle because the egg will implant but will slough off because the lining isn't quite thick enough. . .and she says to me. . ."Dr. B. won't want you to waste your money". . .THANKS DR. B!!!

So, once again the waiting game starts. ..I am waiting for the phone call to go to the "special pharmacy" to pick up my hCG and then waiting for the phone call that I should inject so I can inseminate on Saturday. . .
