That's all folks!

It's all over. The kiddo went home last night, along with his 3 siblings. It was pandemonium. We all went to the airport (myself and the other foster parents) and then waited for hours for all the typical security theater garbage, interchanging between chasing kids and crying. I honestly don't know what else to say though, I am in a bit of shock even though I knew this day would come.

all in all, this was a great experience. I really don't think I have it in me to do foster care again for a while, it feels like a dead end, investing so much into someone that just ... goes away never to be heard from again. I need to re-center myself now, so I am taking some time off. I have come away from this though still thinking I want a kid - actually I think I want 2 now. But this will be my last post, probably for quite a while, as I take a much needed and well deserved vacation. I'll keep checking out the website though!
