Hello!
My partner and I love to go to theater (it's how we met!) and now that our kids are at the age where we think they are mature enough to be able to attend the theater with us, we have been trying to find shows that they can understand and enjoy, but don't make me and the hubby want to pull our hair out! (LOL... I can't handle bunnies singing about eating carrots)
We saw Altar Boyz last night. It's a very successful off-broadway show. Currently it stars Neil Haskell from So You Think You Can Dance. My daughter loved watching someone she recognized from television so close to her. The show is very fun and very smart. It's about a Christian boy band (and one Jewish boy). It was not offensive, clean, and all four of us really enjoyed ourselves.
Not too expensive either, which is important when you are paying for four people.
Here is the website for anyone interested in going!

Hiya, Just got back from
Hiya,
Just got back from vegas yesterday and took my 9yo to see 'Stomp out loud' (spinoff/sequel to Stomp) and also to see Mama Mia. Both were excellent.
Mamma Mia I would hesitate depending on their ages. If you have seen the movie, it's exactly the same only less cinematic in person - obviously. So there are a couple bad words, some adult subject matter (main character not knowing which of the three men from her mother's past is her real father) but nothing over the top, and all just a big reinforcement of family values in the end anyway.
Stomp out loud is just amazing. It's wordless, and just full of a bazillion rhythms made from objects such as push brooms, plastic tubes, keys, feet, mouths, metal tubes in water, lots of lights, dancing and humor. My daughter and her two friends were entertained every second. The cast was also into a bit of audience participation. I'd say perfect for kids.
