Celebrate Pride in San Diego with "Family Matters".

The San Diego Pride parade is Saturday, July 21 and starts at 11:00 AM. Please watch the parade or walk with other families behind the LGBT Community Center's float.

You should also join Family Matters in The Children's Garden. The Garden will be open on Saturday from 12:00 - 6:00 pm, and on Sunday from 11:00 - 6:00 pm.

Since safety is a concern for all of us, Farmers Insurance will help get the kids enrolled in the M.I.L.K. Program (Managing Information on Lost Kids) which helps empower parents in the event of a child emergency situation.

Kids can get fingerprinted, weighed and measured at The Children's Garden. This is free, and the parents retain control of all the information and can be tied into the Amber Alert.

There will be a lot of entertainment for you and your kids - from infants to pre-teen. Singers, dancers, clowns, magicians, face painters, karaoke, carnival games, ping pong, foosball, craft table and snacks - ALL FREE! Plus to keep you and your kids comfortable all day we have a diaper changing station, a nap area, breast feeding tent, shade & snacks.

Family Matters is San Diego's only educational and social parenting group for the LGBT community. The group provides educational parenting forums and numerous resources on legal and medical issues; it also offers events for families and social gatherings for parents.
