Elton John is loving being a dad for the second time. Elton spent most of his life with one singular love- music. But meeting David Furnish changed all that. Now the Crocodile Rocker is a family man and couldn't be happier! He says:

Sir Elton John and David Furnish talked about their first year of parenthood, the pair spoke of their pride and joy at becoming parents to Zachary, who was born via a surrogate in America on Christmas Day, 2010.
The couple, who met in the early 1990s, said they had enjoyed a “brilliant” year with their 13 month-old son, whose full name is Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.
But they admitted he faced “challenges” and potential “double” stigma as he grew up and have consulted counsellors to find out the best way of dealing with any potential problems.

Elton John is vacationing in Hawaii with partner David Furnish (pictured) and their baby Zach, just days after civil unions were legally recognized in the state. Zach celebrated his first birthday on Christmas Day. Furnish, a 48-year-old film producer, will be known as Papa by the child – with Sir Elton being called Daddy. Last week, Sir Elton told how he wants Zachary to have as normal an upbringing as possible, saying he wanted the youngster to have "a solid old fashioned childhood.

Although not publicly confirmed, Sir Elton has asked Lady Gaga to be godmother to son Zachary. Elton's partner David let let the tidbit slip during an interview. He was chatting with a reporter, and was asked, “Correct me if I'm wrong but Lady Gaga has been named Zachary's godmother.

Elton John and David Furnish were devastated when they weren't allowed to adopt an HIV-positive Ukrainian toddler. But the famous couple reveals they continue to hope for adoption in the near future.
