With more same-sex celebrity couples proudly parading their children, is life getting easier for these unconventional set-ups?

Surrogacy - A must watch from last night's Nightline on ABC is a story about a married gay couple who had triplets via surrogacy through Growing Generations. Cudos to the producers who made the reality of a modern day family so real, so personal. Although the comments on the site are harsh, the reality is that a family is a family no matter how it is made up. And, as stated by Letty Cottin Pogrebin in her book, "Family Politics," - "If it feels like family, then it is family." What do you think?

Sunday New York Governor, David Paterson, signed a bill which allows unmarried partners, including gay couples, jointly adopt children. The bill “also substitutes the gender-neutral term ‘married couple’ in the adoption statute for ‘husband and wife.’” The bill became law effective immediately.

"Is this woman worth $100,000.00?" Nice start to an even more disturbing story. Thanks ABC for your "investigative" reporting. First, that egg donor, who is a woman who chose to donate her eggs (and as it appears with full consent), did not receive that amount of money for donation her eggs just once, but six times. Yes, likely over the ASRM guidelines, but really, is that the way to start off an introduction into family building? It is Tuesday evening and the show just aired.....I am too angry to comment - will finish this is the morning.
