When the framers of the US Constitution placed a provision in this incredible document, stating that we have a right to bear arms, I don’t think that they were talking about assault rifles, semi-automatic weapons and lethal bombs! The real elephant in the room that no one wants to discuss is that the NRA (National Rifle Association) has tremendous political and financial muscle; to the point that even potential Presidential candidates are extremely hesitant to propose new gun control bills, less they place themselves in jeopardy of losing an election.

Recently, I began publishing a new news magazine called: Guardian of Truth LGBT News Magazine. Friends, to be honest with you, while I did have a gut feeling that people would like the publication; there was no way I could have ever anticipated just how very popular it would become. Some are even hailing the publication as an overnight success!

When we all can share the same God-given Constitutional Rights, then I will join in the celebration. But as long as I am still denied the right to legally marry the man I love…I won’t be celebrating Independence Day with anyone who is an oppressor!
