ABC News reports Mary Cheney, former Vice President Dick Cheney’s lesbian daughter, had her second child this morning at Sibley Hospital in Washington, DC.

Sarah Lynne Cheney was born at 8:17 a.m., weighing 6lbs., 14 oz. Her parents are Mary and her partner of 18 years, Heather Poe. The couple’s first child, Samuel David Cheney, was born in May 2007.

The election is only days away. Imagine for a moment that Barack has won the Whitehouse. (It’s okay. Hope doesn’t jinx him. Only voter fraud can do that.) What’s next?

And what happens to Dick Cheney when he says goodbye to the Beltway?

Research tells us they turn out about the same as everyone else with at least one loving parent. And they're NOT more likely to be gay than other kids.

Mary Cheney, Dick Cheney's daughter, delivered an 8-pound, 6-ounce baby boy on Wednesday. He is her first child. Samuel David Cheney was born at 9:46 a.m. at Sibley Hospital in Washington, the vice president's office announced.

...and the baby is due in late spring 2007. She's in a long-term relationship with Heather Poe.
