At first, the couple struggled with the options available to them. They talked about adoption versus insemination, then decided on insemination. But the decision came after much processing of the fears that can arise during the decision-making process.
The beautiful couple has been together for 5 years, and they started the AI process in February.
From their home in North Carolina, Melissa writes:

Proud Parenting member - Todduscraig - is ecstatic in his latest blog post. And rightly so. His family's adoption story started over two and a half years ago. They jumped into action as soon as the Democratically controlled Colorado legislature and governor signed-off on second parent adoption.
