Seven-year-old donates to gay rights
A 7-year-old boy named Malcolm is showing he’s wise beyond his years. He sent a $70 donation and a letter to the LA Gay & Lesbian Center, and it read “I am sending you this money because I don’t think it’s fair that gay people are not treated equally.”
Malcolm’s mom attached a note and explained that the boy was given $140 to give to a charity of his choice. After hearing a news story about how gay people are mistreated – he told her he wanted to donate to gay causes. He ultimately split his donation between the Center and HRC.
Malcolm’s mom also challenged the LA Gay and Lesbian Center to raise $27,000 in her son’s name. Help them reach their goal by clicking here.
