The NBA and Teespring, a leading on-demand commerce platform have partnered with GLSEN. Teespring is offering PRIDE shirts featuring all 30 NBA teams with officially licensed logos. Each has a black background with the team logo emblazoned in rainbow. All of the proceeds for the shirts benefit GLSEN.

GLSEN’s Executive Director, Dr. Eliza Byard, said, “Support from professional sports for LGBT people has been one of the biggest cultural developments of the past five years, and the NBA has consistently led the way. Thank you, NBA and Teespring, for this generous support, and for standing with your LGBT fans, LGBT youth, and GLSEN with these Pride-themed shirts. For LGBT fans and players alike, visibility and inclusion in the family of sports remains a key goal. The entire GLSEN family is proud of our longstanding partnership with the NBA, and excited about all of the work we are doing together to make K-12 physical education and athletics – and all of K-12 education – more inclusive and welcoming of LGBT students.”

Danny Rosen, chair of GLSEN Oregon, one of 40 local GLSEN Chapters across the country, said, “Through events like our annual Youth Sports Summit, GLSEN Oregon is making K-12 school athletics safer and more affirming for LGBT students. When organizations like the NBA take a stand on LGBT inclusion in sports, young people in Oregon and across the country learn that the teams and players they love are there for them, and want them to be respected and welcome in the locker room, on the court and in the stands.”

“Our first collaboration with the NBA was a success, so we truly are excited to partner with the League again, this time for a great cause,” said Morrie Eisenberg, Teespring VP of Business Development & Partnerships. “We’re thrilled to work with the NBA and GLSEN to bring this collection to life and help fans around the country celebrate PRIDE month in a unique and creative way.”
